In just a few short hours, André Lima got his first win inside the Octagon, a new tattoo, and $50,000.
Lima made his promotional debut on Saturday at UFC Vegas 89, going toe-to -toe against highly touted prospect Igor Severino. After an exciting first round and a couple of equally thrilling minutes in the next, the fight took a strange turn when Severino seemed to bite Lima’s bicep while clinching against the cage wall. Lima immediately protested and Chris Tognoni decided to stop the fight in order to review the replay.
Lima, however, had the proof they needed right on his arm. The bout was stopped immediately when Severino showed a nasty bite mark.

White confirmed Severino was cut later in a text message exchange with MMA Journalist Kevin Iole. Lima’s manager also revealed that his fighter would be the first-ever recipient of the “I got f*cking bit bonus” courtesy of the UFC CEO, which would land Lima an extra $25,000 for the trauma.
