Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon has been quiet ever since he submitted his drug tests and became eligible to compete again.
Michael Chandler was a clear favorite to welcome back ‘The Notorious.’ The former Bellator light-weight champion insisted the fight with the Irishman would still take place despite its lack of progress, but now that looks to be in danger.
Conor McGregor, who was in Riyadh for the “Day of Reckoning” boxing event on Saturday, spoke to Derek Chisora in regards to what’s next. According to McGregor, he has been in constant communication with UFC about his plans to compete.
“Hopefully soon, I hope so. McGregor replied, “I’m talking” when asked to give a time frame for his return. “They’re now naming me opponents.”
McGregor, however, is not ready to give up on his boxing career. He used the microphone to demand a massive matchup with Filipino legend Manny Pacquiao who, he claimed, owes him millions of dollars.
“How about Manny versus me here in Saudi?” How does it sound to you? McGregor questioned Chisora. “Now wouldn’t it seem that Manny would have to catch up to my weight since it’s his sports ?…?”
