After an announcement that his return to UFC will be at a UFC 302 event scheduled for June 29, – ex-two-weight champion, Conor McGregor has opened as a slight betting favorite to beat Michael Chandler in a planned middleweight matchup this summer.
McGregor, a former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion under the banner of the UFC, has been sidelined since he took main event honors at UFC 264 back in July 2021, fracturing his left leg in a doctor’s stoppage TKO loss to Dustin Poirier.
Chandler, a former Bellator MMA lightweight champion who won three titles, has not made his return after losing a rear-naked choking loss in the third round to Poirier, he lost to formerly common foes, back in November of 2022, at Madison Square Garden.
McGregor opened as the slight favorite to beat Michael Chandler at -120. Chandler opened as an underdog of +100. This appears to confirm that a UFC 302 fight at middleweight will be taking place during International Fight Week.
