Jamahal Hills, an ex-UFC champ, was arrested earlier this week in Michigan on charges of domestic violence.
According to a report by TMZ on Monday morning, Hill was arrested at a Kent County Jail and released later that night at 7:35 p.m. On the same day, prosecutors officially charged the MMA fighter with misdemeanor aggravated family violence.
According to court documents obtained by the publication, Hill assaulted James Anthony Hill Jr., inflicting “serious or aggravated injury upon him.” It was later revealed that the alleged victim was the brother of Jamahal Hill and “a resident or former resident” of the light heavyweight contender.
Additional details about the incident weren’t immediately made available. Hill is scheduled to appear in court on January 15th for an appearance.
