Kamaru Usman, the former undisputed welterweight champ, has retaliated against Conor McGregor, the former gold medalist in two divisions, following a recent snatching attack by the Dubliner. The Dubliner claimed that the incoming UFC 303 main event had rejected two chances to fight him when he was atop of the 170lbs weight class.

Usman, still the top welterweight, was last seen in a higher division at middleweight in October last year. He suffered his third loss consecutively in the form a controversial majority verdict defeat against Khamzat, the unbeaten fighter.

Conor McGregor is set to return to the Octagon after a nearly three-year hiatus at the end next month, during International Fight Week. He will be facing former title contender Michael Chandler, in a highly anticipated pairing.
