Paige VanZant, who will be boxing Elle Brooke in the Misfits 15 main event on May 25, is returning to combat sports.
VanZant hasn’t competed since July of 2021 when she lost to Rachael Ostovich in BKFC. The former UFC fighter had been expected to return to BKFC in this year. However, she has signed a contract with Misfits Boxing, which is a multifight deal.
“Misfits actually signed me to a multi-fight contract,” Paige VanZant said to MMAFighting. “So I think there’s rumors they want me to fight again in Dubai, at one of their cards. I’m here to stay. Of course there’s other opportunities, I still definitely will be in BKFC. I love this promotion. I used to love bare-knuckle fighting. So this is just another of those boxing matches and it’s really, really exciting.”
VanZant is excited about boxing right now and has decided to join Misfits boxing.
“There was a reason I went into bare-knuckle boxing out of the UFC,” Paige VanZant explained. “It was something that I wanted to do. I wanted to immerse myself in boxing. It wasn’t just that BKFC excited me. The boxing world, working on my striking and just having fun with striking ,… was what excited me.
