Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimiaev headline the first UFC event to be held in Saudi Arabia

The UFC is coming to Saudi Arabia.  First time ever, the fight promotion is hosting an event in Kingdom Arena Riyadh.  The event, titled ‘Fight Night,’ will feature a middleweight match between Khamzat Chimaev and former champion Robert Whittaker.  

Dana White, UFC CEO, announced the news on social media.  “BOOOOOOM!!!!!! White posted a video announcing that UFC was heading to Saudi Arabia with a Bad Ass card featuring @robwhittakermma and @khamzat_chimaev.  

What’s going on guys?  “Here’s another announcement.”  White stated in the video that we will be traveling to Saudi Arabia on Saturday, June 22.  Our fight in Saudi Arabia will be a Fight Night, which will air live on ABC.  The main event is between former middleweight champ Robert Whittaker and 13-0 undefeated Khamzat Chmaev, to determine who will be No. “The UFC Middleweight title is up for grabs.

White also announced several other bouts, including the co-main event.  

“The comain event, No. “The co-main event, the No. 6 ranked Alexander Volkov.  Kelvin Gastelum is also going to face Daniel Rodriguez.  We’ve got Johnny Walker versus Volkan Oezdemir,”…
