Sean Strickland is often in crazy situations. This hasn’t changed even though he became the UFC Middleweight Champion. He is still the same controversial fighter, even though he has more money and fans.

Strickland became involved in a crowd altercation on the 16th of December while watching UFC 296. According to UFC veterans, the 185er and Dricus du Plessis clashed. Both sides threw punches.

Gilbert Burns recalled, during an appearance on JAXXON’s podcast, the events between Strickland & Du Plessis. According to Burns, the middleweight champ warned him on that night something would happen.

“When Sean came he sort of looked at the guy… He then talked to me: ‘Oh, did you bring your wife and kids?’ Burns told the story of his UFC 296 mishap. “He said, Yeah, this freaking man is right there. “I might do something to this guy.”

“That was just before the fight, when he entered. He already had it on his forehead. He had it. He said, “But your family is right here.” If I do anything, I’ll let you know .’… When the thing begins to fall apart, this guy will be there.
